Albuquerque Public Schools
A 2006 kindergarten addition to Atrisco Elementary School provided a new stand-alone kindergarten building with three classrooms, staff areas, and secure outdoor playgrounds. Each classroom includes a corner reading nook with large windows, a full kitchen, and a private bathroom with child-scaled fixtures.
A two-story 4,679 square-foot addition to Bandelier Elementary School, completed in 2008, provides a new full-prep kitchen, computer technology lab and teacher workroom. Renovation work included HVAC upgrades, ADA and fire code upgrades and renovation of the existing cafeteria.
Collet Park Kindergarten /Pre-Kindergaten
The new Collet Park Kindergarten /Pre-kindergarten building is approximately 11,000 square feet. This stand alone building is designed for LEED Silver certification. It includes four kindergarten classrooms, 2 pre-k classrooms, a teacher workroom and various support spaces and a new “Tot-Lot” play area. The facility was designed with a great deal of input from teachers and parents, and designed to serve the children and teachers by providing the best environment for their development and success.<< << previous
