Educational facilities are at the core of our mission. At Vigil & Associates we believe in the profound impact of education on an individual’s life and society as a whole. In support of our mission V&A is dedicated to designing innovative 21st century learning environments that inspire, support, and promote the discovery and exchange of knowledge. The Higher Education landscape is changing, we understand colleges and universities are transforming their teaching methods, reconsidering how they use tools and technology, and are rethinking the spaces where education happens. We examine how learning environments are being reinvented to support new pedagogies that deeply involve students in the learning process. We work with faculty and students to understand how students learn, how faculty collaborates and the issues that support instruction and academic research. Our planning and design efforts are guided by these issues, as well as the institutional mission, project goals and the imperatives of budget and schedule.
