06.20.2020 North Domingo Baca Multigenerational Center Addition Completed!
The North Domingo Baca Multigenerational center addition was completed by Vigil & Associates, May of 2020. The facility fills the heart of the far Northeast Heights of Albuquerque gracing the community with a variety of recreational activities.
The addition of over 19,000 square feet includes an outdoor amphitheater, two-story gymnasium boasting NCAA regulation sized basketball and volleyball courts with spectator seating. Both the amphitheater and gym also include a state-of-the-art Audio/Visual display for movie screening and presentations. The gymnasium houses an indoor track on the second floor, offices for gym staff, a rock climbing gym and an outdoor playground to the building’s west end, where exterior rooftop balconies provide a segue from the building to the green landscape and picturesque views of the park to the west.
This addition expands the offerings and capacity to the neighborhood and its visitors for gatherings, performances and regulation sporting events, as it is an amazing facility where virtually every generation will benefit from its existence.
The opening date is to be determined due to the city’s current Covid-19 regulations.
