Coach Archie Duran Elementary

Vigil & Associates was selected to design a school that will consolidate Dowell Elementary School, Crosby Elementary School and Schuster Elementary School into a single new school, Coach Archie Duran Elementary for El Paso Independent School District. The new school is located on the existing Dowell campus in a medium density residential neighborhood in northeast El Paso, Texas. The new elementary school will serve approximately 900 students in grades pre-kindergarten through 5th grade. The building will be approximately 100,000 square feet. This will be a 21st Century learning facility that is focused on active student engagement utilizing the latest technology to prepare students to excel in today’s world. Programs will include instruction in core courses; particularly STEM courses, as well as specialized programs such as art, music, physical education, and media.
