HVAC UPGRADES AT 5 ELEMENTARY SCHOOLS

Mechanical and electrical systems engineering were 98% of this project’s scope. Mechanical systems for five schools ranging in size and types were evaluated for upgrades. We made recommendations and opinion of probable construction costs and the Owner decided to proceed with the five schools. Our engineers designed new upgrades which included smaller, energy efficient boiler systems, modifications to existing systems and designed DDC systems for each building.

EMERGENCY HVAC UPGRADES AT ROBERTSON HIGHSCHOOL

The Robertson High School HVAC Upgrades project was completed on an emergency basis. Upon preparing the heating systems for the impending winter storm, the aged equipment was found to have major cracks and active leaking, among other defects, and was failing to maintain temperature. Facing an approaching storm without heating capability, the campus was on the verge of being shut-down. While under contract with the Las Vegas City Schools, V&A coordinated and documented the emergency replacement of this boiler.
